Healthy eating

Step 2

We tried all sorts of different shop bought sandwiches and began to discuss the filling, what it looks like, the smell, the flavour and the texture.

Healthy eating

Following on from health week, year 3 are creating their own healthy sandwiches.

Step one is to try different types of bread.

The children tasted loads of bread.

Pita, naan, white, wholemeal, 50-50, wrap, baguette, ciabatta, tiger loaf and finally Mrs Eckton's homemade bread.

Thank you

A big thanks to everyone to came to cheer the children on at sports day. It was lovely to see you all. Thank you also, to the parents who helped us to walk 130 children down to South Shore Academy and back again. I know some of you went off to work afterwards.

From the Year 3 team.

Having a go!

Protractors are tricky tools to use in maths. Here is 3JE having a go!

Global renewables

Having been to the centre in Leyland. The children have come up with action plans on what we could do in school to help our environment. These were collecting rainwater, making a bug hotel, pre-order school dinners and having a waste free lunch.

 Sharing our action plans.
